Adversaries are exploiting AI-generated, hallucinated web domains—known as "phantom squatting"—to preemptively register and weaponize these plausible yet nonexistent URLs, creating a novel and highly effective software supply chain attack vector that evades traditional defenses and threatens both human and autonomous AI workflows.
