ResidentBat: Belarusian KGB Android Spyware at Internet Scale

ResidentBat is a highly targeted Android spyware implant attributed to the Belarusian KGB that, once physically installed on a device, enables persistent surveillance—including access to calls, messages, encrypted chats, files, and remote wipe—posing a severe threat to journalists and civil society, with its infrastructure detectable via unique TLS fingerprints concentrated in Europe and Russia.
